Vickey Waller is the third child born to Bobby and the late Elizabeth Jordan Sadler. She was born and raised in Bridgeton, New Jersey. Her early education also occurred there, where she graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1976. Upon graduation she attended Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina where she received her Bachelor of Social Work degree.
While at Livingstone College she was active in various clubs and organizations, most notably Alpha Xi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Following graduation from Livingstone College she attended the University of Georgia and earned her Master of Social Work degree.
Ms. Waller has been actively employed in the field of human services for the past 30 + plus years. She has held positions with both the public and private sector. Presently she is employed as the Family Self Sufficiency Program Coordinator here at Tri-City Housing Authority. A wise person once said, “Self Sufficiency is the greatest wealth of all”.
She is married to Joey Waller, a retired educator. They have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. They are actively involved in the various ministries at the Church of Christ at Greentown Heights located in Manchester, Georgia.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and reading.
